Automatic doors (sliding, revolving, panic) need ongoing inspection schedule to comply with the requirements of building WoF, our inspection prices are unbeaten.
Automatic doors need systematic maintenance & inspection to safeguard the system will function as required by the appropriate standard, occupants are not prevented from leaving the building in the event of an emergency

Maintenance & Testing process (performing standard: NZS 4239/AS 4085 /AS 1851 etc.)
Planned preventative maintenance and responsive maintenance should be carried out in accordance with the nominated performance and inspection Standard or document. It is also carried out to
ensure:
- Secure, safe and correct operation
- inhabitants are not prevented from exiting the building in the occurrence of a crisis
- Individuals with disabilities can gain access to inside of the building
In particular, the following should be inspected with great care:
- Properly regulate belt or chain tension
- Fine-tune brake settings
- Change sticky, noisy or non-round wheels
- Clean track and wheels with moist cloth
- Recharge back-up batteries when power is below specified levels
Depending on size and type, back-up rechargeable batteries should be replaced approximately every two years or when found to be inoperable.
Typical Testing includes:
Doors should be inspected to ensure they are not: locked, barred, blocked.
Inspection of the following should be carried out when appropriate to the installation:
- Door controller operation
- Safety devices & activation devices
- Hanger brackets and bolt fixings
- Wheels & Anti-rise rollers
- General condition of door leaves and hardware
- Alignment and clearance of doors
- Glazing and vision panel to door leaves and over lights
- Floor guides
- Operation of any doorway illumination, visibility of strongly contrasting visual strip to leading edge
In addition to being inspected, the following should be tested for effective operation when appropriate to the installation.
- Electrical and mechanical lock
- Battery back-up
- Brake settings
- Fail-safe devices or panic breakout
- Interface between building’s emergency warning system and the automatic doors
- Motion pick up of sensors at shallow angles
- Door timing (it should remain open for at least five seconds)
